HeadCheck Health Dashboard

PROJECT SNAPSHOT

sports dashboard.png

As a concussion protocol management software, HeadCheck Health empowers sports leagues to take care of their athletes.

The current dashboard on the HeadCheck app did not provide enough value to our current users, and did not align with HeadCheck's overarching goals of supporting all members involved in the identification, management, and care of a suspected concussion.

My task started off simply enough: The ask was to redesign the three widgets on the current dashboard.

THE OLD DESIGN

Our old design of the dashboard is

shown to the left.

Our old dashboard was a bandaid solution to a complex problem. There had been some exploration of what our users wanted to see on their dashboard, but no deep dive into what our users deeply valued, and what they truly cared about. It did not meet user's needs, and users couldn't connect with it in a meaningful way.

THE SOLUTION

After undergoing a comprehensive exploration of customer needs, I recognized the pivotal role the dashboard played in our users' experience. Taking care of athletes was the number one goal in our user's minds, and the dashboard had to allow them to do that.

After hearing from customers, I expanded the redesign to include nine new widgets addressing specific user needs, and created a roadmap which mapped out the release schedule of the new dashboard. This new dashboard was more personable, provided deeper insights, and allowed users to access the information they needed!
